The Alaqua Professional Group (APG), a strategic alliance, was formed by principals Jack Chadwick, Brenda Vitucci, and Marty Laven. These experienced marine professionals are recognized throughout the marine industry for their specialized expertise, job performance, ethics, and honesty. APG provides independent and objective analysis; and works seamlessly with other professionals in a professional project team environment. Mr. Chadwick is President of Decision Dynamics, Inc., a marine and commercial property consulting firm established in 1991.  The company performs market analysis, economic feasibility studies, and development planning; as well as real estate services including due diligence, investment analysis, and brokerage.  Completed projects are located throughout Florida, Southeast U.S., the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Clients include individuals, developers, financial institutions, and business entities ranging from new ventures to large corporations.

Mr. Chadwick also provides commercial real estate appraisal services, representing Clobus, McLemore & Duke, Inc., for a variety of commercial properties including marinas, resorts, dockominiums and rackominiums, retail, multifamily, office, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, industrial/commercial condominium units, and vacant commercial land.

Mr. Chadwick’s academic and professional background includes degrees in engineering (BAAE, 1965), business management, (MBA, 1971), the CCIM professional designation in commercial-investment real estate, and Florida State Certified General Appraiser. He is currently licensed in commercial real estate brokerage and appraisal.

Prior to founding Decision Dynamics, Inc., Mr. Chadwick was associated with the Fort Lauderdale office of Economics Research Associates (ERA), an international consulting firm; and with the Radice Corporation, a NYSE-listed real estate development organization.

A practical understanding of the marine industry and boating community backs his wide-range of experience in commercial real estate development and solid academic credentials. Mr. Chadwick is a member of the Association of Marina Industries / International Marina Institute, the Marine Industries Association of Florida, the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, the Marina Mile Association, the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, and the Realtors Commercial Alliance. He has been active in sailing and power boating for over forty years. He is a past-commodore of the Gulfstream Sailing Club, member of the Broward Boating Club, and a full-certificate member of U.S. Power Squadrons.

Brenda VitucciBrenda A. Vitucci ”...strong background in all aspects of marina operations, wet slip and dry slip sales ...”

Ms Vitucci is an Associate of Decision Dynamics, Inc. and a Florida licensed real estate salesperson. Brenda was previously associated with Absolut Realty International, a realty firm based in Aventura, Florida that catered to a primarily European clientele. She was the marina specialist in the office, handling sales of wet and dry boat slips as well as residential condominiums with boat slips. She has an in-depth working knowledge of the customer base, having lived and worked in South Florida for many years. Ms. Vitucci has proven “hands-on” marina management experience, having worked in the upscale Hi-Lift Marina in Aventura for fifteen years. She handled all aspects of marina management, from service operations to sales and leasing of boat storage and maintenance plans. She helped develop and implement additional revenue sources during her tenure. When the marina was sold in 2003 to a start-up company with no prior marina experience, she was retained to transition the entire operation over to the new ownership group.

Ms. Vitucci, has developed the Marina Network Group on the Facebook networking platform into a lively international association of over 2,500 professionals worldwide in marinas, resorts, and yachting businesses. She has written articles and moderated forums on many of the current issues facing the international marina and resort industries, environmental concerns, and worthy marine causes.

Brenda is a member of the Association of Marina Industries / International Marina Institute, the Marina Mile Association and the Realtors’ Commercial Alliance. She is pursuing the professional designation of Community Association Manager (CAM); and attends all relevant national and international marina seminars for education and networking opportunities. Brenda is active in many South Florida business and social activities and has sponsored several charity events in cooperation with local business organizations.

Marty Laven Marty Laven ”...a wealth of information and a variety of experience provide keen insight to the marine real estate market...”

Mr. Laven is Owner/Broker of the dockominium group, a Florida based licensed real estate brokerage specializing in the purchase and sale of fee simple and equity ownership boat slips. Transactions have been completed throughout Florida, including for example: Longboat Key Moorings in Sarasota, Fisher Island In Miami, The Waterways in Aventura, Sunset Harbor in Miami Beach, Cypress Island Marina in Jupiter and Soverel Harbour Marina in Palm Beach Gardens. Numerous referrals have been made to dockominium and rackominium developments throughout the state.

Marty is actively engaged in marine legislative and regulatory issues on behalf of the marine industry. He has been at the forefront of the “green marina” movement and has organized several conferences aimed toward bringing government grant programs and sustainable technology to the attention of the marina industry. Marty often speaks on issues of interest to the industry; for example, a recent presentation on the subject of submerged lands banking was made to the International Submerged Lands Conference.

Marty’s tenure in the real estate field resulted in the dockominium group, which was incorporated in 2002. His real estate experience was preceded by careers in the public, non-profit and private sectors. He has held the positions of economic development specialist for the city of Denver, Colorado, public relations director for United Way of Broward County, Florida and associate publisher of the leading trade journal in the cable television business. Marty is a past president of the Marine Industries Association the Treasure Coast. The dockominium group has also been an affiliate member of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association.
